Update - eDues
Dear PSCFA Member,
We are very excited to invite you to join our new union eDues system!
The Florida Legislature intends to outlaw public employer payroll deductions for union members by July 1, meaning you will no longer be able to pay your union dues through your paycheck. The bills also require 60% membership and onerous reporting that measures union membership only by those paying dues. (Note that police, fire and corrections offers would be excluded from these new “protections”). We will not let any of that deter us from having strong collective bargaining agreements and being a powerful voice for our higher education system. We will control our own fate and do what we need to do to save our union, no matter what politicians throw at us!
Please watch this video for instructions on how to switch over, and you can find an eDues FAQ here. Thousands of members around the state have already tested this system, and the process is both very simple and extremely secure.
eDues Step-by-Step Instructions
Note: You do not need to cancel your current payroll deductions. UFF eDues payments will begin in August of 2023 after we anticipate payroll deductions will be outlawed. (If for some reason that outcome changes, UFF will collectively ensure the end of payroll dues deductions before approving any payments.)
STEP 1: Search for centralmembershipsystem@floridaea.org in your inbox.

STEP 2: Click the secure link.
STEP 3: Create your secure password. Don’t forget to write down your login and password so you don’t forget it. If you would like to complete the sign-up process at one of our “Fight Back Friday” events, you can stop here. However, please understand that you won’t be fully signed up for eDues until you complete Step 4.

STEP 4: Connect your bank account to set up dues payments that will begin July 1, 2023. Note that UFF and FEA are NOT tracking or storing our members’ banking information. We are using a secure and ISO compliant vendor named Dwolla and Plaid.
Option A: log into your bank from our portal.
Option B: use a routing and account number.
Option A is the easiest option.
Option B requires you to provide your routing and bank account numbers, then verify 1-2 microdeposits within 48 hours. You have to come back to the portal to confirm a 3-digit code.
STEP 5: Participate in statewide events and prepare to fight for collective bargaining! It will take all of us to save our union!
STEP 6: Make plans to attend our spring social on Friday, April 28, from 3:30-6:00 on the patio of Bubba’s 33, located on Davis Highway in front of BJ’s Warehouse. We selected Bubba’s 33 because they are a sponsor of the PSC Foundation scholarship that honors our late colleague, Carla Williams. PSCFA will provide free drinks and appetizers to all in attendance, and we’ll have volunteers available to help you sign up for eDues. Join us as we celebrate the end of the semester and strengthen our union.
